Safe web colours for colour deficient vision-- This article deals with color blindness and a methos to transform images to simulate how they would appear to the color blind. This site also provides color pallettes that correspond to certain types of colorblindness. This site has a great resources section that includes links to tools like

  • photshop plugins to help check your graphics for image legibility for the three types of dichromatism
  • online color vision simulators
  • Website palette assembly guides and tools
  • much much more...
Bobby is a free service provided by CAST to help Web page authors identify and repair significant barriers to access by individuals with disabilities. -- Want to have a good laugh? Go to bobby and check out www.elementk.com. Wow. Now go to Smartforce.com -- a lot more bobby hits but not priority 1 issues; meaning they can theoretically pass for section 508 compliance. Although 72 "alt= ' ' " tags are really not that helpful to people with disabilities. Try out Netg -- cleanest one yet (but a pretty clean page to begin with. More of the alt=" " tags hmm....
The Federal Government page that covers section 508 can be found at http://www.section508.gov/ It even includes an online course "to train Webmasters how to develop Web pages that meet the Access Board standards for Web pages as specified in §1194.22 of the Federal Register published on December 21, 2000. "
